Direct Primary Care is the perfect model allowing primary care physicians to improve access to care and the outcomes inherently found in a highly connected, mutually beneficial doctor-patient relationship. Employers should take a page out of the Direct Primary Care playbook to use in their own healthcare game plan. In the game of employers vs. the Bigs (i.e. big insurance, big hospitals, big pharma), a DPC play is like hitting a home run.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in Health Benefits Design and Health Informatics from University of Lynchburg.
